“Terrenos Houston is a scam.”
That’s what people have been saying on social media. We’ve witnessed a recent explosion of TikTok accounts, created by various anonymous users, with a common message – that Colony Ridge and Terrenos Houston is scamming Hispanic immigrants by selling them lands that flood. They also mention many other issues that have previously been reported on, as is the harassment and stalking of people who speak out, which is said to come from individuals sent by this very company. What’s not surprising to us is the countless of users who have commented and given testimony of what their experience with Harris’ company, Liberty County, their taxes, and the Houston El Norte POA has been. It’s almost as if so many were waiting for an opportunity to voice their pain, disgust, and be heard.
Here are some of the videos that were posted about John Harris’ Terrenos Houston (and its many advertised names such as Terrenos Santa Fe, Terrenos Parkway 99, Lotes y Ranchos Houston) and the comments various TikTok users had:

“I offered to pay them up front with a loan i got from my credit union for 1.9% intrest and they got mad and said no that i had to FINANCE with them 😂”
“I worked for them and this is a Fact”
“Some of the conditions in plum grove are literally NOT livable idk how they get away with it”
“Yeap I heard about the over charging and not just that shame on the radio station Raza and other for advertising this scam”
“A dangerous place to live. People get robbed, shot, and killed. Not to mention the animal cruelty.”
“I’ll tell you from experience, I had friends that are directors there….They are snakes just looking to fill up these pre-landfill territories”
“They delete reviews 😂”
“My dad wanted to buy but I told him not to. They try to take advantage of people that don’t know anything about buying properties.”
“This is true.!!!!! We almost bought land from them but luckily had a friend who was a lawyer see our contract and she immediately said no.!!🙅🏽♀️”
“My dad bought land there but only gave the down payment. We all talked him out of it bc 1. The were so expensive for the size of land and bc of the- Flood zone. We all had a bad feeling about and he decided to give it up. So glad we dropped the deal”
“yes. i have family over there that have been broken into more than once”
“Do not believe these 5 star reviews they are fake I say that because one of the workers there took my sister’s phone and actually made her log into her FB account and he himself using her FB account posted a review about himself and how great he had treated us, she told me he did this after we had left the place if I would of found out their and then I would of caused a scene”
“Fr I moved here and they didn’t tell us the land flooded and a week after we moved here it did and our trailer fell and cost us more money🙄”

In an uproar, other TikTok users wrote:
“This is disgusting and unacceptable! It’s so sad to see people purposely take advantage of others.”
“i hope this gets more attention!!!”
“I hate when ppl get taken advantage of.”
“Oldest game in the book”
Another user pointed out to what many of us had been wondering for a long time. How old are these models that Terrenos Houston uses to advertise their raw sewage ridden community?
“Omg i know the first girl she went to my school and talked a lot of the houses she sold”
“In highschool?” Someone asked.
“Yea,” they replied.
Recruiting from highschool? Hmm. We know people who would think that is somewhat predatory.
“Epstein-style,” wrote another anonymous source. In fact, here’s what one former employee had to say:
“Dude I use to work there !!!! It was soooooo bad
Long story short. The men that work there were super inappropriate with the receptionist.
Most of these girls were in there early twenties and the men were all married and in there 40’s 🤢”
When told about reporting fraud to the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton as we had mentioned previously, some users had an adverse reaction to it:
“What will Ken Paxton do? Absolutely nothing.”
“ken Paxton is just as crooked as this company 😅”
“You said ‘Ken Paxton’ 😂”
Has our open letter to Attorney General Ken Paxton and numerous complaints fallen on deaf ears? Only time will tell.
It seems as if people started using Terrenos Houston‘s own tactic to create endless TikTok accounts to inform the public and warn future buyers. It’s caused such a scene that we’ve been seeing some of their accounts set as private now. Who knew?
Tik Tok, John Harris. Tik Tok.
