There are so many things we can focus on with John Harris’ Terrenos Houston and Colony Ridge. But let’s talk about flooding and sewage first.
The fact is that these lands they are selling to immigrants flood and they do not disclose that anywhere throughout their sales process. We’ve had countless of people crying out to us for help due to the lakes of water on their properties when it rains. See some of the complaints we have received:
“They also told us our land was in a no-flood zone, and what was our surprise that in the first rain that arrived our land looked like a pool.”
“...when it rains my ditches flood and even when it doesn’t rain, it always has pooled water.”
“...they told me it doesn’t flood and that’s a lie Half of my land looks like a lagoon and I’ve added like 20 truckloads of dirt and it still floods...”
To make matters worse, the surrounding City of Plum Grove has been fighting the county of Cleveland Texas to stop this company from continuing to develop ruthlessly without proper management of their sewage. They’ve even brought to the county countless of environmental issues that are being violated by this self-proclaimed developer. Yet the county keeps approving the platting of land.
We were told in an e-mail:
“Thousands of gallons of raw sewage have been confirmed being dumped out on the ground which is not only disgusting but we also worry that it will eventually end up in our water system since everyone out here has their own water well.”
Perhaps fat pockets from new taxes are more important than the people on this county’s well-being? Why do you think one of Terrenos Houston and Colony Ridge’s biggest advertising pitch is about new schools, schools, and more schools? It’s a brilliant plan, really. They don’t have to spend a dime on these institutions, taxes are raised, and guess who one of our sources tells us takes a cut from these taxes? You got it. Colony Ridge. Someone should look into that.
It could also be something more sinister than that. Did you accept any “gifts” from Colony Ridge and now they are threatening you and your family, Judge Knight? It wouldn’t surprise us. We’ve had numerous people reach out to us about this company’s intimidation tactics.
Multiple sources have told us this company likes to stalk and intimidate anyone who is a threat to them. Meaning those who can expose what a scam their company is. They have been followed to their homes when they don’t live in the colonies. Some tell us this happens on a daily basis.
One of the stories we received starts with, “I am writing on behalf of my mother - she is a Spanish speaker.”
And ends with, “She is currently in fear of her life and has no where to go.”
When it comes to Colony Ridge’s lands, they’ve told us they have “spotters.”
This has all been photographed, documented, and sent to the authorities.
We’ve also had sources tell us that because people from this company believe in Santería, it is a common practice for them to throw dead animals at people’s yards and contact witches to perform rituals against them. It is their belief that spirits are going to help then stop opposition. Would that explain the vultures that are constantly roaming in this area?
Sounds like a mob movie turned horror story, right?
Caution: Not fit for sensitive eyes.
Let’s get back to the law. Real estate law in Texas was modified after hurricane Harvey to state that sellers MUST disclose if the property they are selling floods, has flooded, or is in a flood zone. These lies alone are reason for the authorities to step in and hold this sham of a company accountable. Tic toc, John Harris.
“To make matters worse, the surrounding community of Plum Grove has been fighting the county of Cleveland Texas to stop this company…”
You have a typo there, the City of Plum Grove has been fighting Liberty County to stop this company!
Thank you for your contribution, Michael. That has been fixed. Please share with your neighbors and family. Send us your pictures and your stories and we will continue exposing them. We don’t want more people to be preys of this self-proclaimed developer.
